Personal Pronouns

The LGBTQ Resource Center  affirms every individual's right to choose and use their own personal pronouns.  It is an act of aggression when we assume a person's gender identity.

We encourage you to join the countless students, staff, and faculty at UNM who have made a commitment to trans and gender non-conforming people by adding your pronouns to you email signature line, zoom name, and when introducing yourself in meetings.  Doing so helps to create safer spaces for our trans, nonbinary, and genderqueer friends, colleagues, and community members in a culture that continuously assumes a person’s identity.

Together we can practice asking, sharing, using, and respecting each other's personal pronouns.
